Cortex

Manifesto

Impressions are not pipeline.

Why we built Cortex. What we believe about B2B marketing, who it's for, and how we ship.

Most B2B marketing stops one step too early. It produces content. The content earns engagement. And then — nothing. A VP of the exact title you're chasing likes a post, and that signal goes straight into the bin. The dashboard shows impressions going up and pipeline staying flat, and everyone agrees it's a mystery.

It isn't a mystery. The buyers were right there. Nobody took the last step.

We started Cortex to take that step — to treat every engagement as a lead, not a like. Not to write better copy than anyone else, though we do, but to make sure the copy actually finishes the job: it goes out, the right people react, and that reaction becomes a tracked, enriched, followed-up conversation with your sales team.

The thesis

B2B buyers are reached one sentence at a time, in their feed, by people they recognise. So the job of marketing has two halves. The first half — be there every week with something each role in the buying committee actually wants to read — is hard, and most teams half-do it. The second half — notice who responded, and follow up while it's warm — almost nobody does at all.

Done by people, the full loop is a content team and an SDR desk: research, writing, scheduling, capture, enrichment, sequencing. Done badly with AI, it's slop fired at a scraped list. Done well — a small senior team plus an engine that runs the loop end to end — it's an unfair advantage.

We are the third option.

The five rules we run on

  1. Engagement is intent. A reaction from the right title is a raw lead. We capture every one — name, role, company — and enrich it. The signal your old marketing motion threw away is the first thing we keep.
  2. Strategy is human, production is machine. Personas, pillars, and positioning get written by senior strategists with category context. Once strategy is locked, an AI engine produces at a cadence and precision a two-person team can't match. We don't apologise for using AI — we use it because it makes the work more consistent, not less.
  3. Never cold. Every outreach send is triggered by a real engagement with your content. We do not buy lists, scrape contacts, or spray. If someone hasn't shown a signal, we don't email them. Follow-up, not cold outreach.
  4. Quality is gated — twice. Every package gates through a structured scorecard before the client sees it; we don't ship slop that makes the client the editor. And when a prospect replies, the lead reaches your AE with the full trail attached — sales gets a warm conversation, not a name on a list.
  5. Iteration is monthly. Which posts earned the highest-fit engagement, which sequences drew replies — it all feeds back into the prompts, the persona language, the pillar mix, the templates. The engine sharpens. We don't sell month one as if it were month six.

Who this is for

B2B SaaS, healthcare, biotech, and adjacent verticals where the sale is multi-role and the buyer is not on TikTok. Companies between Series A and pre-IPO. Teams who already know they need 5–9 personas covered concurrently, who are already getting engagement they can't act on, and who don't have a fast path to staffing both a content team and an SDR desk.

If you're a $20M ARR SaaS company with one head of demand-gen and a 6-month wishlist, we're a two-hire-shaped solution that goes live in 2 weeks. If you're a healthcare platform selling into hospital systems with nine buyer roles, we are the fastest way to be credible across all nine — and to turn that credibility into conversations.

Who this isn't for

We don't run influencer campaigns, paid media, brand identity, or events. We don't "manage" social media. We don't buy lists or run cold outbound. We don't take on B2C work. We don't sell credits or content packs. If your need is one of those, we'll happily refer you to someone we trust.

Why Cortex is an operating system, not a tool

Cortex is what lets one strategist supervise nine concurrent personas — shipping 36+ packages a month, capturing every engagement they earn, and running outreach sequences off that signal — without the work degrading. Every persona, pillar, package, post, engager, and sequence lives in one structured workspace where strategy, generation, QA, capture, enrichment, and handoff are first-class operations, not bolt-ons.

That's why the math works. It's also why a healthcare RCM platform, a DataOps SaaS, and a clinical-research vendor can all run inside the same engine, themed to their brand, with their pipelines kept entirely separate.

The people

Cortex is led by Vasu Kapoor — founder, operator, prompt engineer, ex-CTO. The engineering and AI infrastructure are run in-house. Strategy is led by senior B2B marketers with healthcare and SaaS exit experience. Every engagement gets founder access on Slack and a monthly review on the calendar.

We're small on purpose. We pick clients we can ship for. We charge enough to do the work right and turn down work we can't.

The bet

Marketing budgets shouldn't fund a feed full of impressions that never become a conversation. They should fund the loop — content out, engagement in, outreach off the back of it, replies on your sales team's desk. Cortex is that loop, productized.

If that's the kind of partner you've been looking for, we'd love a 30-minute call.
